Multimedia Applications Video Project

For my final project in my Multimedia Applications class we were instructed to make a video project. I chose to do a baking competition because I like bake and I wanted to incorporate something I love to do in the project I would spend lots of time working on. I wanted to do a bit of a spoof off of the cooking show Chopped and recreate my own version with my family, Minced!

I invite you to watch my video and hopefully you’ll like it!

My Website About Ice Cream Places in Lincoln Nebraska

I made my website about ice cream place in Lincoln Nebraska. I made this website for my Multimedia and Applications class for my sophomore year of high school. The assignment was to make a website on something we know a good deal about so I picked ice cream! I love ice cream and I thought I could share my knowledge about it. (Especially in Lincoln, NE, because I was born and grew up here.) I hope you can go check out my website and find a place to get ice cream soon!

My Website: https://jordanernstmeyer.wordpress.com

Creating this website took about a month and it was quite to process! Our teacher had to break down how to use WordPress to create out websites. From there we chose our page themes and began adding to our website! Though the creation process was difficult and time consuming I was very proud of my end result.

I hope you enjoy!

A Yearbook, A Sweatshirt, and A Feather

What does a sweatshirt, a yearbook, and a simple feather all have in common? They describe parts of my life! My name is Jordan Ernstmeyer and these are 3 objects that I think describe my life in the best way. I chose my nationals sweatshirt for the experience of playing with my team in an unfamiliar place and for explaining that sports take up a large fraction of my life. I brought my preschool  yearbook to show that I’ve been learning and growing in the faith ever since I started my education, and lastly, I brought a feather that my grandma gave me at my confirmation to remind me of a few key faith points, that I can incorporate into my day to day life.

My first object is my earliest year book from preschool. I picked this object because it lets me look back to when I first started my education and my first real faith school experience. To me it symbolizes the fact that I’ve grown up always having been in a Lutheran school, and the privilege that comes along with that is how I get to be open about my faith with my teachers and fellow peers. It also lets me look back at the fun times and good memories I had when I was 4.

The second object is my national sweatshirt to symbolize the time spent in Indiana at the National Basketball Tournament with the girls and boys basketball teams last year. Since the majority was filled with good memories, this was definitely an object I could use to represent my time spent there, but I also wanted it to, in a way, resemble all the sports I play. To me this object also shows the time and dedication my family and I have to sports whether it be basketball, volleyball, or soccer. Athletics is a very important part of my life and that is why I chose something to represent that large area in my life.

My final object was something that I didn’t think of at first. It is a feather my grandma gave me when I was confirmed this past school year. She gave it to me to be a reminder that God’s protective hand is over me at all times and He will defend me if necessary. This feather is a symbol of my faith and to me it reminds me that I always have God watching over me and through the faith I have in him, I will surely be in heaven one day.

Thank you for listening and I hope you enjoyed my speech.

Little Girl Finds Hidden World in Old Wardrobe
(Article from-The Lion, The Witch, & The Wardrobe)

March 25, 1940
London, England

On week ago, dating: March 18, 1940, somewhere in the countryside of London, four children by the names of Peter, Susan, Edward, and Lucy Pevensie discovered a mysterious hidden world they call, “Narnia”. The youngest of the four, Lucy, claimed to have discovered this newly found world and allegedly was shown around by a creature we believe to be, a sort of, man-goat.
How this begins is simple. The mother, of the four children, sent them away to be protected from the occuring war and bombings going on around their hometown. A kind man, living in the countryside, who had a beautiful, large, pristine, house had offered to take them in for the time being & they accepted.
A few days had passed & later that week the four lovely children decided to play hide-and-seek in their new home, when the youngest, Lucy, hid in the closet only to find, deep behind the coats, a magical realm she calls, “Narnia”.
Then, she spent some time there having a tea day with the man-goat creature until she figured it was time for her to go back home. All in all when she came back to her family of siblings, they did not believe the incredible news. “She’s not being silly at all,” said Peter, “she’s just making up a story for fun, aren’t you, Lu? And why shouldn’t she?”. After another bored day of doing practically nothing, the kids all ended up hiding in the closet as a hiding place from their maidservant, and falling into the wintertime wonderland of “Narnia”.
Finally, we join you now after the children have said they had been in there for at least 25 years. “It was the same day and the same hour of the day on which they had gone into the wardrobe to hide.” Can what these children have been saying true?
What they are saying could be false but, what if what they are saying is true? The information seems to add up, but there is always a possibility that they could just be children making up a silly story.

My First Post

Having a website is strange. The fact that the work I will be doing in class for school can be put on here to show my work is overwhelming. Many others before me have told me that completing this website take long, hard, and focused attention and work ethic to make it professional and  filled out in a way that that makes my work look great.

There isn’t much of me on here yet but I plan for that to change. As I go through my Lincoln Lutheran years I plan to be adding my work to this site to make my future bright with college letters, and accepting employers. This will be a journey but I will make it great!
